What happens when everyone in an organization feels responsible for more than just their own job description?
Félag is an ancient Nordic concept denoting a community where people share responsibility, resources, and risk—and where everyone plays a part in ensuring the whole functions effectively.
This workshop translates this mindset into a modern workplace culture.
Participants work with real-life scenarios and experience how an organization grows stronger when people help one another, share knowledge, and take responsibility—even when the issue lies outside their specific area of work.
A key element is the “Five-Meter Director” concept: every employee acts as a director within a five-meter radius. If you spot a problem, you have both the right and the duty to address it. You do not need to wait for a manager, a procedure, or the “right” department.
It is not about everyone deciding everything; it is about everyone feeling that what happens around them is also their responsibility and their achievement.
At the same time, the workshop challenges traditional hierarchies. The person closest to a problem often possesses the best insight into the solution—regardless of job title. Consequently, the Félag approach is built on equality, mutual respect, and trust rather than status. Through exercises, scenarios, and shared reflection, we explore, among other things:
Félag isn’t about everyone doing the same thing.
It is about everyone taking responsibility for making things work.
A workshop for organizations that want less “that’s not my responsibility” – and more “we’ll fix it.”
