A guided historical bike tour of Copenhagen that covers the full story—from the myths and realities of the Viking Age, through the lost wars of the Renaissance and the Occupation, to modern-day Copenhagen, featuring the Kalvebod Wave, CopenHill, and the driverless Metro; the “World’s Happiest Capital,” “World Capital of Architecture,” “World’s Best Cycling City,” and more.

We examine the ships that were scuttled in Roskilde Fjord to prevent an attack in 1060, and learn the story behind the vessels and their sinking.
We also visit the workshop where precise replicas of the ships are built using authentic methods and tools, and—naturally—we don life jackets and head out onto the fjord in a genuine Viking ship, where everyone joins in rowing, setting the sail, and tacking.

Norwegian Viking Queen Evie Louise Madsen and Vikingologist Hasse “Hassan” Sørensen are co-hosting the seminar “Viking Soul” to shed light on how pan-European concepts—such as “feminine and masculine values”—have distorted and obscured the sense of equal worth that is natural to the Nordic world.
We discuss “the sea” and “the ship,” and how mutual respect reinforces both one’s own inner strengths and those of the other.
Women can do what men can, and vice versa, but that does not mean we must be clones of one another. Many men, in particular, have lost their way in this complex landscape and are seeking a guide through the gender jungle.
